CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19) SERVICE INFORMATION UPDATE

Following public health guidance including social distancing advice, in order to protect public and staff against infection from coronavirus our service currently remains open with limited capacity 

There is likely to be a delay in the processing of Homeseeker applications therefore we appreciate your patience at this time

In order for us to continue to provide the best possible service we ask that you only contact us by telephone if your query is essential and urgent at this time, as our telephony service is currently experiencing unprecedented demand 

 

Receiving notifications from us

The Basildon Centre will remain closed from 5.15pm on Tuesday 24 March until further notice, therefore we will not be able to send any notification letters via post, if you have not already done so you may wish to add an email address to your Homeseekers account -  to do this, simply login to your Homeseekers account and click 'update contact details' on the right of the page to add or amend your email address

If you do not have an email address, please check your user messages regularly for notifications from us

 

Getting your documents to us

You will not be able to bring your documents into the Basildon Centre until further notice and we cannot currently receive them by post, but we can still receive them by email

There are various ways to copy your documents:    

  • We can accept screenshots and pages downloaded directly from online accounts that you have, such as online banking/utilities/household billing accounts etc

  • If you have a scanner at home you can scan your documents

  • If you have a mobile device you can take a screenshot, please check that the image is clear before you send it to us

  • Send via email giving your name, address and Homeseeker Reference to CSCHomeseekers@basildon.gov.uk

 

Documents for Property Offers

Very few properties will be allocated until further notice but if you are offered a property please email your documents directly to the email address on the offer letter
